Firepits seem to be the popular landscaping feature to have and after multiple estimates, the bids we received had an $11,000 spread from the lowest to the highest. All American was neither the cheapest nor the most expensive. We chose them because they were reasonable, knowledgeable with excellent references and had a “family” feel to the company. We were not disappointed. Jeff, the owner, met with us to review the design and give us an estimate and visited the site as work progressed. His brother and team did the installation. They did not charge extra for sod repair or landscaping beds to incorporte the fire pit into the existing design. Of all the companies who submitted a bid, Jeff was the only one to identify an existing drainage problem which could have impacted the patio in the future. It was a simple solution but much easier to resolve before laying the patio.

Hiring this company has been nothing but a nightmare that I don’t wish this nightmare on anyone. The project was fairly large an even his employees expressed to us that it was one of their larger project at that time. We signed a contract to begin with the build which also included a 5 year warranty. The project started rather slow and took a while because they were working on multiple projects at the same time. My first disappointment with the company was when they made a decision to move he pergola without consulting me about it. They had already poured the concrete, so we had no choice but to more forward with the project. We also had some issues with his American staff, throwing their used cigarettes all over our yard, this was shortly addressed after we complained. Throughout the project there were other issues with miscommunication between his staff and I. The company attempted to add additional fees to the project cost and I declined to pay for the add-ons because we had not agreed to extra terms and they were not included as part of our initial contract. In the spring when we began to use our patio and we noticed that when it rained that water would pool in a couple of areas around the patio and we also noticed that some of the 6×6 wood blocks that they used for the pergola were cracked and we were concerned that over time they would accelerate the rotting of the wood. We also, planned plants in our new flower beds. Well, we noticed that some expensive plants were dying and we dug deeper and discovered that the beds were placed right over the existing sod and it the soil was discolored with a greenish color like there was mold in the soil. That’s when we decided to contact the company to take a look at our issues. To my surprised, I got a nasty response from the company stating that they felt that we did not pay for the full cost of the project and all the add-ons therefore they would not honor their warranty. They also, said that they wanted to file a lien on our property for theft of services and not to contact them again because they would they would sue us. Dealing with this company has been nothing but a nightmare and I don’t wish anyone to experience this. If I had known that they were were not going to honor their warranty, then I would have never hired them. Every time is rains it’s a constant reminder of the poor workmanship and wasted investment that we made. Buyers beware. A year and half, later…I still have a sinking patio and no recourse from the company.

Jeff Heng and All American Landscape Design are awesome! They created an exciting transformation for our backyard! We had a fantastic experience working with them! Jeff came the day after I called to talk to me about my ideas for our backyard. He is extremely professional, energetic, friendly, polite, enthusiastic about his work, knowledgeable, a great listener and answered all my questions. I told him I was very open to any ideas he might have for a new patio, new landscaping and plants. His bid included a very professional design with many new ideas which I loved. For each area and detail listed, there was a quoted price. I loved the ideas and felt great knowing exactly what each area and detail cost ahead of time. I chose the exact ideas I liked and then knew the exact price. Jeff and All American had the exciting ideas and design I wanted at an excellent price. Jeff explained how their company would create our patio including how the base would be created, correct drainage and slope, the types of pavers available to choose from, information and cost on both a gas and regular fire pit, how our landscaping would be created, great information on each of the types of plants, trees and shrubs to be planted and how the sprinkler system would work. He is a great communicator! Jeff and crew came exactly the day they said and the time they said of 7:30 am. I told Jeff about young children next door and he had a temporary fence of caution tape made and politely told the kids what would be happening in our yard and about them being safe and staying behind the fence. He was awesome talking with the kids who were excited about seeing all the work and equipment and they asked him questions which he answered. The crew put down plywood sheets each day from the street all the way to our backyard so the Bobcat would go over them and would not damage the yard. That was very considerate and much appreciated. All the old hedges, railroad ties and old patio were taken out and disposed of the first day. Each day the crew showed up at 7:30am and worked until 6pm. These are the hardest working craftsmen I have ever seen! The crew also cleaned up the working areas every day so they were very clean and picked up the plywood so it would not sit on the grass all night long. All the neighbors around us told me how cool it was that the crew cleaned up so well after each day. Neighbors, friends and relatives all have told us how they love the transformation of our backyard and how impressed they are. I have passed out several of All American’s business cards now and talked to tons of people about their great work. Brian was the crew foreman and was also awesome to work with. Any time I had questions he would politely answer them. He is very professional, a great listener, a true craftsman along with the crew and he came to ask me questions when new things came up. They were great to work with! You can tell when people like their work and it was evident they loved what they did, worked very hard, were always polite and considerate and had great pride in their creation and transformation of our backyard. They created a paver patio including a sitting wall and fire pit, tiered rounded sloped landscaping on our back hill which included placing boulders and spruce trees, landscaping berms around the yard with plants, shrubs and trees, lighting added on the patio and on two trees, added great looking chocolate mulch, a sprinkler system for my backyard and all around my house and new sod added to the backyard and side yards. I really appreciated the final walk through with Jeff. He spent over an hour talking to me about traits of each type of flower, shrub and tree and how to protect them all over the winter. He also explained all the programming for the sprinkler system and wrote down all that information and instructions for reference. I was so impressed with everything that I now have left the lawn company I have been with for 15 years to go with All-American for future aerating, over seeding, fertilizing, pesticides and insecticides, and sprinkler maintenance.

This company was excellent to work with. Shayne, our primary contact, impressed us from the beginning. Her attitude, expertise, and willingness to go above and beyond were unmatched. She created a design for us, even though we didn’t ask for one. She made suggestions that were truly suggestions, not upselling. AND she had our estimate to us within two days — incredibly fast! Once we decided to work with All American, Shayne took care of everything. They were able to get us in during the Fall, in spite of their tight schedule AND they started earlier than expected. The crew was polite and hardworking. The foreman communicated well and went above and beyond just like Shayne. They stuck to the proposed amount they provided us and finished quicker than expected. We’re incredibly happy with the outcome and regularly receive compliments on the work All American did. We’ll definitely be working with them in the future!

We needed all mulch removed and replaced, new topsoil laid, grading issues around the house fixed, river rock removed, all plants removed, a tree ring put in, and natural edging put in around all beds. We also had underground gutters installed.

They have not started my work yet but I plan to use them. The president of the company came out and he reviewed everything that I needed and then left. When he had an estimate and a proposal ready he contacted me and came to my house to go over everything with me. I had 5 estimates and this company was definitely the most efficient, prepared and professional. He gave me references and everything.

Over the last 3 years we have dealt with a number of contractors who have performed various work and upgrades to our home, i.e., new master bath, remodel kitchen, roof, siding, etc. By far All American Landscape and Design out performed them all in terms of conceptualizing the customer’s needs, project design, bidding, attention to detail, work ethic and customer satisfaction. 1. Jeff Heng met with us three times to determine the scope of our project, provide assistance in terms of design alternatives including cost comparisons, alternatives, material choices and potential options for consideration. In our second meeting he provided a project plan and detailed cost estimate broken down by the work to be included, i.e., patio removal, fire pit, retaining wall, paver patio, Pergola, bbq grill. The detailed breakdown helped us tremendously in terms of analyzing what we should finally include in the project. At this time he also provided a scheduled start date and projected completion date. During our final meeting just prior to work being performed he walked us through when the crew would arrive, their daily work routine, where to drop the materials that were to be delivered, 2. On the first day of the project, Jeff arrived with his crew exactly on time. All materials were delivered when promised and dropped in the appropriate location. He introduced his crew (Junior and Carmello) and reviewed the project plan in detail with them. Jeff stopped by periodically during the project and assisted in the initial construction of the Pergola. 3. I can not say enough about the crew (Junior and Carmello) that performed the work. They were always here on time every morning and often worked well into the evening. Both were extremely hard working, courteous, knowledgeable and meticulous when it came to the quality of work and craftsmanship they put into the project. They answered all questions we had as worked progressed and took initiative to seek us out if our input was required. Jeff had mentioned that all they did was patio pavers, fire pits, retaining walls and it showed in the final product. 4. Once the project was completed the guys did an excellent job of cleaning up the work site after themselves. They put down dirt and reseeded where any damage may have occurred due to transporting the block and materials across the lawn. 5. Even with all of the rain encountered just prior to the project and to a limited extent during the construction, they started the project within 3 days of the initial projected start date. Even though they encountered an unforeseen construction issue during the project, they dealt with it expeditiously and with our input. All in all it only extended the completion by a couple of days. We are extremely satisfied with the final product. Everyone at American Landscape bent over backwards to be sure the patio exceeded our expectations. They accomplished that goal.

They did an incredibly good job. The project was a very large one, and they were on-side at 7:30 every morning, working until the job was complete. Jeff met with me late last year and drew up a plan that was in my budget, and did an awesome job with every detail perfectly done. The communication during the project was very good, and all of my questions were answered in a timely manner. I would highly recommend Jeff and his All American Landscaping team for any landscaping project.!

I had an initial visit with Shayne in April but due to my family circumstances we did not reconnect until July. Shayne was more than willing to make several visits out to my house while we decided upon a design plan and what plants would be best suited for my location. Shayne was patient and enthusiastic thruout. When the project started, it went very smoothly. I was assigned a 3 man crew, Fernando (crew chief), Enrique (expert at irrigation) and Jesus. The job took 5 days and on two of them we only had 2 workers otherwise it could have probably been completed in 4. However, I was thankful they took their time. Fernando was very good at plant placement and Enrique made sure the sprinkler system was covering all the plants as best as possible. Shayne stopped by several times to check that all plants went in according to our agreed upon design. We have very happy with the end product and will definitely use All American should we have any other landscape projects. We did have 3 plants eaten up by rabbits within a few weeks and I was told to get some repellent. Should that not work, I was promised the plants will be replaced. All plants have a one year guarantee. I hope to not have to use this but have confidence that All American will stand behind their contract. All American did a great job in listening to my input and offering their own expertise. They used quality products and I’m looking forward to seeing everything bloom next spring!

We needed to have all of our old landscaping demolished and replaced around the entire house. All the old plants, rock and edging needed to be refreshed and redesigned.

We could not possibly be more pleased. Every aspect of the process was first-rate. They created a great plan, showed it to us in color and helped us fill in the details. Then they scheduled the work, all along maintaining excellent communication, being on time, and doing a great job of clean-up as well. They dug and prepped 1 huge bed, a second large bed, and 2 small beds. All of the plant material were good quality specimens, too! In all, we put in 9 good sized trees and a number of shrubs, all of which were planted properly. Also included was the installation of a large number of boulders. In addition to this work, they converted our downspouts to underground drainage outlets and modified our sprinkler system to work best in the new environment. Finally, the entire area was covered in full-depth dark mulch. All this was not cheap, but for all the work that was done and all the plant material that was placed, the cost was extremely reasonable! Highly recommend this company!

Then, after reviewing the plan, they helped us divide it into 2 projects – a current fall install and the balance to be done in a spring install next year. Jeff, Brian and their team did an amazing job. From the beginning, when we were getting quotes for our project, Jeff was punctual, informative and professional in all aspects of his bid. His bid, compared to another local hardscape company, was night and day. Jeff was prepared with 2 beautifully drawn out plans. One of them incorporated a pergala that I thought I wanted, and another plan that Jeff prepared without the pergala that he thought flowed better. We went with Jeff’s plan as it made much more sense in the end. The work was scheduled to begin on 10/30/13. Jeff called and said they were going to delay one day because we were supposed to get about 1.5″ of rain. I totally agreed and on 10/31 Brian and his team showed up to perform the work. We were told the project would take about 2 weeks. Exactly 2 weeks later the project is finished. Our patio is absolutely beautiful. During the entire project the guys did a great job on keeping the area clean and always picked-up after themselves. They used boards across our entire lawn to prevent their heavy equipment from causing damage to our lawn. Brian was meticulous in hand cutting the pavers in order to create the curves that we wanted in the patio. The entire project flowed and the end result is remarkable. This project included tear-out of our concrete patio and wood stairs, and installation of paver stones, paver stairs, a sitting wall, a built-in bbq area, lighting, sprinkler head relocation and landscaping. Our landscaping will be completed in the spring time but already our paio has has absolutely transformed out backyard living area. Working with All American has been great from beginning to end. They did what they said they were going to do, on-time and for the price they said it would be. Not only did they do all this, but I had asked Jeff if it were possible to add a stone with engraving on it. Sadly, our 28 year old son passed away unexpectedly in July of this year. We wanted a memorial to honor him. Not only was Jeff compassionate about our loss, but he worked with another company to provide a 18″ X 18″ stone with engraving at no cost to us. They did not know us or our son, but were kind enough to do this in memory of him. If this does not speak volumes for a company I don’t know what will. I can’t recommend All American enough. If you are considering doing hardscaping or landscaping I would highly recommend them. If you would like to see an example of their work come by and see our beautiful patio. It was easily the best experience I’ve had with a home project . Jeff was very punctual, if he said he would be there at 8 he would be there at 755 . He was also very thorough explaining everything in great detail beginning with the quote to the finished product. Brian and the rest of the workers were awesome as well. We now have a great outdoor living space and will be contacting All American for all of our future outdoor projects.

It went great. Jeff and his crew were able to do the work within a few days of my calling them, and showed up at the appointed time.. They were very polite, and even made sure not to track any dirt or mud into the building. They were able to blow out the water lines thoroughly, and ensure that there was no moisture left to freeze.. After that they were also able to winterized the buildings water feature. In the spring everything turned back on with no problems. I will definitely use All American again.

Jeff provided an estimate in October to construct a new patio down from an existing concrete slab deck. His evaluation, attention to detail and professionalism were impressive from the start. So much so that we got no other estimates. After agreeing to the construction to begin in mid- November, we also got an estimate to remove all landscaping which was getting pretty ragged. During the construction, we also agreed to some landscaping changes that would result in all new shrubs, etc. in the Spring. Ay any rate, the patio, steps and wall were finished today and my wife is elated! She can’t speak highly enough about the work Brian and his team did in completing the project on time and with such precision. We wouid be more than pleased to recommend this company for paver patio and landscaping work. It was a pleasure to do business with such a customer-responsive organization.

I had 4 different quote for a paver patio done .Two were way off the price and did not follow the scope of the project. I had requested a quote for the paver patio ( 14′ x 14′ ) and a 2-3 year plan to landscape the set ov the yard. Jeff from All American was the most professional of all the bid. He stayed with our plan and cam in as the least expensive @ just over $3,600.00. We have discussed additional project for our yard with Jeff as part of our 3 year plan and will certainly use All American again for our sprinkler system and additional landscaping projects ( planting more trees and plants) Thank You Jeff and your crew, and thank you Angie for helping us connect with them

They started, as planned, and (pretty much) finished on time…rain and unexpected problems caused some delay. The workers were very polite and cleaned up at the end of each day (they also remembered to close the gates so the dogs wouldn’t get out). Whenever anyone had to come inside (to get the sprinkler system set up) they always took off their shoes. When it was all done, I have: new plants, a new tree, mulch instead of messy rocks, decorative boulders, stoned pathways, cleaner plant beds and a ‘top of the line’ Sprinkler System (that they showed me how to work)!! This has got to be the best experience that I’ve ever had with anyone doing work at my house. My yard looks fabulous!!…I went from the worst to the “best yard on the block”. If you know your yard needs help but don’t know how to fix it, call these guys…they are a full service landscaping company (design, installation and upkeep).

All American Landscape Design did a complete remodel of my front and back yard: removed trees; removed existing plant beds, removed old plant boxes, trellises and tons of rocks. My yard was falling apart; all the retaining walls were collapsing and all my existing plants were either overgrown or dying. My yard needed serious TLC (and my neighbors hated me because of it).

From the phone call to ask for an estimate until the “final inspection” today, all contact with All American was professional. The crew that came out were polite, courtesy & early! When it become obvious we had to make a change during the work, they explained why and what our options were. They easily exceeded our expectations, the following day when they returned to finish cleaning up .After they left for the night, the wife had decided that she wanted one more block going up the stairs. We explained this to them, without hesitation, they left to get the materials needed & returned to finish it to her request. Jeff came out for one final inspection. We asked him for an estimate on another project we hope to complete soon.

Jeff’s team showed up on the scheduled day, finishing within a week and completed the installation a day early. They ensured all permits and underground infrastructure was coordinated. They were extremely professional and used great subcontractors. At the end of the installation they tested to ensure the system worked perfectly and taught me everything I needed to know to operate the system. They came back at the end of the summer to ensure the system was properly winterized. I will definitely call him first in the future.

The new retaining wall is much better built than the old retaining wall in terms of look and quality. The landscapers were very meticulous in the construction of the retaining wall. They would measure, cut, fit, recut, and fit, etc. until landscaping blocks were tightly fit together. The final construction is both much more appealing looking than the original retaining wall, and I’m convinced it will last longer due to substantially better engineering. We will be using All American to perform additional landscaping work on our home over the coming years.

Jeff and his crew are the best that I’ve ever worked with. They did what they said and when they said they would do it. The crew headed by Junior, was attentive, spoke with me every day to verify that I liked what they had done and discuss the next days plans. He was polite and accommodating my questions. I couldn’t be more pleased with the pergola and landscaping installed by All American Landscaping in west Omaha. The president, Jeff Heng, met with my wife and I and was able to put on paper what we had in mind. He was able to provide suggestions that made this project not only functional as a shaded area for our patio but is a beautiful addition to our back yard. His crew was on time, worked diligently and with great precision. The cedar pergola with engineered stone walls and landscaping have gotten nothing but compliments, and I highly recommend his work.

Jeff was very professional, answered all my questions and arrived when he said he would. We were only going to replace one small patio and butt the paver patio to the existing large patio, Jeff worked with us at the last minute to go ahead and remove both patios, and redesign it. We are extremely pleased that we went with one large paver patio. The crew lead by Junior, work extremely hard, and worked some long hours to stay on schedule. They cleaned up every night before leaving including raking the yard and sweeping the street. The crew laid down plywood to protect the yard from damage and they removed the plywood every night. Junior was very friendly, professional and made sure the job was done to my satisfaction. The patio looks awesome, and was done in on time. Everyone that sees it says is it beautiful, it makes a great area for entertaining as well as upgrading the looks of the back yard.

Jeffery Heng (President of All-American) seems to run a tight ship! Very responsive to my needs and questions. His crews are polite and work very hard! You can ask questions and give (minor) directives to the crew chief who will tell his workers what I want done. The Office Staff is helpful in answering any billing questions. All in all, I am very pleased with the services of All-American Landscaping & Maintenance!!!

Description of work:

During the Fall, Spring & Summer the focus was on lawn maintenance (mowing, edging, weekly pulling of weeds, blowing grass off sidwalks & around house). In the Spring they laid new mulch around trees and flower beds. They applied fertilizer around all trees; Made sure our sprinkler system was working correctly. They maintained our “water feature”: cleaned pond, checked pump. In October they winterized my property (Water Feature & Sprinkler System). They also do complete snow removal. Crews have been out blowing snow off sidewalks and driveways at 1 & 2:00 a.m.! So, I would say they do a complete job on my property!!

Services Performed: Landscaping

This company is great to work with. Jeff and his team are extremely professional and very responsive. We have had this company do three different projects since we’ve moved into our home and will continue to use them down the road for all of our landscape projects. Each project was discussed with a range of options, and each time, All American was very accommodating to our requests for what we wanted done. We even modified parts of our patio plan the day they were set to begin and they did so with no problem at all. We have worked with a number of contractors since moving into our home for various home improvement projects and this company is by far and away the most punctual and responsive.

Description of work:

Landscape bed in front of house, landscape bed and drainage system on side of house, and paver patio with grill island and fire pit in the backyard.

Jeff and his crew did an amazing job. Despite all the rain in June, Jeff and his team finished the project on time and did so with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity. I will definitely use Jeff and his team in the future when I build a pool and hardscape area.

Description of work:

Removed dozens of volunteer trees from the back border of my yard, built a privacy fence, moved and modified irrigation system, and constructed a several new flower beds.

Jeff’s crew did the following: -Arrived 3-dqys early! -Started work at 7:30 a.m. not 8:30 a.m.! -Maticulosly removed each brick/paver and cleaned each brick/paver! -Dug out old foundation and replaced with new sand and base gravel. -Sloped the sand 3% away from the house. -Added two new,laege drains along with draintile all pointing away from the house! -The entire patio was washed down and the site was left clean! -Project took 3 days. The first down-pour we experienced was the next day and the system worked super! The site coordinator returned over the weekend to replace some bricks/pavers that were not the right color…an extra treat. After that, Jeff returned for a walk-thru! I could not have asked for a better job!

Description of work:

All-American fixed an on-going drainage problem I’ve had in my back patio. It was a persistent probelem ever since I moved into my new home. The original landscaper returned twice to fix the problem but to no avail. The problem is finally fixed. Proper drainage has been achieved! Jeff Heng (Owner of All-American) took time to tell me how he’d approach the problem. Jeff’s bid was one of four…and the most reasonable. Here’s what All-American did…

Services Performed: Landscaping

Great! Both Jeff and Shayne were friendly and knowledgeable. Gave good instructions for improving the odds of my new plants and tree making it through their first winter. (Fingers crossed!) Progress of work was steady despite rainy weather. I was updated about any delays and informed when workers would/would not be present. Stress-free process.

Description of work:

Had All American remove tree from yard and simplify landscaping for easier maintenance than that put in by previous homeowner. Replaced some areas of river rock with sod, replaced unwieldy shrubbery with shrubs that required less pruning.

We were not happy with their services because our grass was dead. We didn t know if it was something they did or something they didn t do. We were very upset with the bushes because they cut them too short. We paid for a full year in advance, which was a bad mistake, and we are going to fire them.

Description of work:

They did weed control, mowed our lawn, and trimmed 3 bushes. They charged us yearly.

We had Jeff and his crew build our retaining wall and new steps going up to our pool deck. I had gotten a couple other bids and they were almost half the price. They were great to work with and the wall and steps turned out better than we expected. We will be having them do some landscaping in the front of the house next year also.
